Cleaning out some boxes of old office junk from upstairs and there were a bunch of old CD-ROM games based on the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation TV series. I didn’t work on the games themselves, but I did do several of the MacOS ports, in conjunction with Portland’s Critical Path Software, because they were doner with Macromedia Director and Critical Path’s speciality was low-level drivers for printers and other hardware. I’ve seen more CSI than I ever care to. The games used QuicktimeVR for the crime scenes; my part in the whole thing was usually just fixing some things that werern’t working quite right because of the small differences in Director playback between Windows and Macs.
The oddball disk is from what I’ve called the last Director job ever, when I was hired here inb the Portland area for a couple of years to work on a Director-based dental software package that included cool 3D renderings of a wide variety of dental procedures.
